The team finished instrumenting NRX ready for testing and despite the freezing cold, ice and snow the team travelled to Teesside Autodrome eager to push the car to its limits. Our first attempt to test unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the track being thoroughly coated in snow.
We therefore took the opportunity to carry out an impromptu photoshoot (top).
Undeterred by our first trip, the team assembled once again and returned to the track later that very week. With odd patches of ice still present, progress was initially cautious, but as the day progressed speeds were gradually increased. Just before the heavens opened, the car reached full speed for the first time since Silverstone.
For some of our new recruits, this was the first time they’d seen NRX turn a wheel; a huge morale boost for all involved.
